I say go for it bro, it seems like there is a pretty nice connection between the two of you and that connection is definitely worth pursuing. I told this to people many times, do not play the "What If?" game and just go for it. Just ask her on a little date, nothing too fancy, something like a movie and maybe even dinner, those moments with her might give her the chance to get to know you better.
