What am I supposed to do after college...?

With a degree in Public Communications? I have no idea what kind of careers this degree could bring me. Is it worth going to an out-of-state public university if I'm going to major in Public Communications? Thinking about this gives me a headache, and no one I talk to gives me any straightforward answers!!!
