Point spreads would have an equal spread for underdogs and favorites. Moneylines are different. Since you don't measure in points, you measure in money. Bookmakers will adjust moneylines to get equal action on both sides. If bettors at a particular book start hammering Hughes, they might bump the moneyline to -350 or so and make a higher payout for Serra. They will never be equal, unless the moneylines are way closer to even.
