I would like restaurant recommendations from around UK and Paris.?

To celebrate my husbands 40th I would like to take him away to a fab city/town/village other than London and need a wow factor restaurant. He loves Hakan and Yauatcha so something similar is what I had in mind but am open to suggestions, combined with a hotel tip would be helpful. Something vibrant and buzzing apposed to romantic.
