How hard is high school Spanish?

So far I am just a freshman in high school and am in Spanish 2. First semester I got an A and spanish overall isn't too hard but it gets frustrating trying to always remember the certain rules that you need to apply to certain things. Does Spanish get a lot harder after this? Right now we are in the imperfect and it seems pretty hard.
