Can i get a graphics card with 256-bit bus if i currently have a 128-bit one?

i have a ATI Radeon 9250 AGP 128 MB 128-bit. Will there be a compatibility problem if I get a AGP 256-bit card? Is the motherboard (ASrock p4V88+) somehow limited only to 128-bit cards? Thanx for your help.
